To further support our Platform Engineering team, we are now looking for a Senior Platform Engineer.

Job requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Architecting AWS-based solutions to meet the company’s needs.
  • Continuously analyze and optimize AWS usage and expenditure to ensure cost-effective cloud operations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the company's platform.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
  • Design, implement, and manage (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub Actions to streamline development.
  • Set up and manage comprehensive monitoring solutions using Grafana and Opsgenie.
  • Fleet Management with AWS Systems Manager.
  • DevSecOps: Integrate security practices into the development and operations lifecycle to ensure that security is a core component of the company's software development processes.
  • Support development teams to containerize applications using Docker.

Qualifications:

  • While a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is desirable, 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS architecture is essential.
  • Professional-level expertise with the following AWS services is required: 
    • IAM
    • Organizations
    • EC2
    • VPC
    • RDS
    • ECS
    • CloudFront
    • S3
    • Lambda
  • Professional-level expertise with the following technologies is required:
    • Terraform
    • CloudFormation
    • Docker
    • Databases:
      • Aurora PostgreSQL
      • SQL Server
  • The candidate must be proficient with operating systems (server) Linux and Windows.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, German proficiency is good to have.
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate or Professional Certification is desirable but not required.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and SageMaker is a plus.
